The ‘stichting’ changed its policy as of 2005 and subsequently developed from a charity foundation into a professional organization cooperating with Indonesian organizations.
- A project is now a cooperative enterprise, basically carried out by a well governed organisation
- Procedures are designed to be as simple as possible
- Proper business practices (zakelijkheid) are based on criteria (SWOT, 'renstra')
- The scholarship system is standardized and has a transparent online administration system (SAS)
- Capacity building is carried out under the umbrella VanDeventerSchool (workshops, onllne learning)
- Many tools are based on internet (administration - SAS, Financial - filesharing, communication, learning)
The policy change was reviewed by a panel composed of organizations from all over Indonesia participate.
This ‘Gardenia’ group convenes once a year.
