The ‘stichting’ changed its policy as of 2005 and subsequently developed after from a charity foundation into a professional organization cooperating with Indonesian organizations.
- A project is now a cooperative enterprise, carried out by a well governed organisation
- Procedures are designed to be as simple as possible
- Proper business practices (zakelijkheid) are based on criteria (SWOT, 'renstra')
- The granting system is standardized and transparent.
- Capacity building is supported
- Student administration occurs via internet.
The policy change was reviewed by a panel composed of organizations from all over Indonesia participate.
This ‘Gardenia’ group convenes once a year.
